The Mission Everest film will be shown on Channel 4 at 9.00PM on Easter Monday the 24th March.

This 1 hour film documents the story of GKN and Parajets mission to fly higher than the summit of Mount Everest using only a paramotor and to look down upon the summit from the Nepalese side of the world’s highest mountain.

They have done it!! - yesterday morning Bear Grylls and Gilo succeeded in their mission to fly over Mount Everest. Bear Grylls flew to 30,000 feet and looked down on the summit. The Science Museum in London will exhibit all the Mission Everest equipment in October 2007, this was truly a historic flight.

The peaks of Mount Everest are in our sights for the world record breaking attempt of flying over it on a powered paraglider.

The Everest engine is purpose designed by Parajet specifically for Mission Everest, it’s a 4 stroke Wankel rotary engine, supercharged and intercooled with a computer managed altitude compensating fuel injection system!!!. It develops an incredible 100hp, more than your average family estate car!!! and produces a staggering 150kg of thrust from a 1.4 metre 5 bladed propeller. This Supercharged Parajet weighs only 38kg including harness and so far has propelled it’s designer Gilo Cardozo to 20,000ft in under 45 mins and still climbing at 500ft per minute on half throttle!!!! This truly is the most exciting paramotor ever!!!

Between May 20th and May 30th Parejet/GKN, led by world renowned explorer Bear Grylls will attempt the World record of flying over Everest at a staggering 30,000 feet. The mission is being filmed for a 2 hour Discovery/ Channel 4 documentary.
